CGF receives $16,582 from CID
CHILDREN’S GUARDIAN FUND RECEIVES $16,582 CHECK FROM THE COMMERCIAL INVESTMENT DIVISION OF REALTORS® ASSOCIATION OF SARASOTA AND MANATEE
Sarasota, Dec. – Children’s Guardian Fund (CGF) was awarded $16,582 at the CID Installation & Awards Breakfast on Friday, December 2. The money came from proceeds raised at CID’s 15th Annual Golf Tournament held on October 24, 2016.
“When I called CGF office manager Svetlana Kaminsky and informed her that CID selected CGF as charity of the year and was going to raise $8,000-$10,000 for them, she was excited,” said Tony Veldkamp, the 2016 CID President. The event turned out to be even more successful than anticipated.
The Commercial Investment Division (CID) of the Realtor® Association of Sarasota and Manatee is a special interest organization affiliated with the Association. The CID has a strong membership of over 300 professionals active in the commercial real estate market. Membership includes commercial brokers and sales persons, lenders, attorneys, insurance agents and professionals involved in all aspects of the business.
Carol Belmont, Vice President of the CGF Board, expressed heartfelt gratitude to those gathered at the breakfast. She talked about how support from CID was going to allow CGF to provide normalcy to children who had suffered abuse, neglect and were removed from their biological families for their protection. “We can’t replace the love and care of their families,” said Belmont, “but at least we can provide them with items and experiences that will bring comfort and hope.”
