Sister Ship to Presidential Yacht “Sequoia”
This 104 ft. 1926 Trumpy was named in honor of the date of her launch on July 4th 1926, just across the river from the spot where exactly 150 years before, the American Declaration of Independence had been signed in Philadelphia. Found languishing in derelict condition on Florida’s St. John’s River, this privately owned yacht was lovingly restored over a period of five years.
As we enjoy stepping back in time on the Yacht Freedom, we will be joined by actors playing John and Mable Ringling and experience a bit of Sarasota history while we cruise.
