Debra is a New Jersey native who spent most of her professional career as a technology consultant before pivoting to human
resources and operations management at technology start-ups. She has a long history of community involvement and has
served on the board of directors for the Monmouth Conservatory of Music and The Oceanic Free Library, both in New Jersey.
From 2011 to 2016, she served as a member of the planning board of her former hometown Rumson, New Jersey. She moved
to Florida in 2016 where she continued her community engagement. She was appointed to the Longboat Key Planning & Zoning
Board and elected president of the Rutgers Club of Sarasota and Manatee. In 2021 she was elected to the Longboat Key Town
Commission, where she currently serves as the district 4 Commissioner. Debra has been married to her husband, Tim for 36
years and they share three adult children together. In her spare time, Debra loves to play tennis, cook, travel, and read.
