Prior to retiring to Florida in 2016, Clare Murphy, nee Price was President of Family Wealth Consultants, a firm specializing in conducting educational workshops for attorneys, CPA’s and non-profit organizations for over 30 years. She was a widely recognized financial educator, speaker and consultant, conducting educational workshops for her clients. Her practice was dedicated to helping individuals, families and businesses discover opportunities to create lasting legacies.
Clare is a visionary and provided insight and inspiration for families helping them gain clarity around the purpose in their lives. By drawing on her years of experience, she helped her clients through the myriad of complexities and issues surrounding wealth. She was a frequent speaker on the topics of family dynamics, philanthropy and intergenerational family planning.

Some of the various organizations she has addressed are; the Stroh Family Foundation, Arthur Marshall Foundation, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Children’s Hospital of MI, Beaumont Hospital Foundation, S.E. MI Community Foundation “networking group”, and the Family Firm Institute of Southeast Michigan. She was a contributing author to the book, Family Wealth Counseling, Getting to the Heart of the Matter.
Clare has a unique ability to take the complex and make it simple. A gifted communicator who has a passion for helping people. She was honored by the International Organization, World Vision, Inc., for helping her client design and implement the largest life estate they ever received. Her counsel and assistance have not only saved her clients tax dollars, but more importantly enabled them to participate and contribute to the causes they cared deeply about. She and her husband Dan are currently being honored with the Champions Award presented by the Yatooma Foundation for Kids, a Michigan non-profit.
Clare is a graduate of the American College of Business and Finance in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. She has a son residing in LA and currently lives in Lakewood Ranch, Florida with her husband Dan Murphy.
