Tresa Zumsteg is a retired superintendent with 36 years of experience in education.  She began her career as a special-education teacher for children with emotional impairments and learning disabilities. She later became an administrator serving as a principal, deputy superintendent and superintendent of school districts in the metro Detroit area. For five years Tresa was the Oakland County Intermediate Schools deputy superintendent.  In this leadership position, she was responsible for administration and management of all instructional services in 28 school districts with two hundred thousand students.

Tresa earned her PhD from Michigan State University in educational administration with an emphasis on curriculum and communications.

Although retired, Tresa maintains her involvement with several child -focused organizations. Her passion has always been to advocate for children and provide them with opportunities to achieve their dreams.
