Nancy Feehan

A former Assistant Attorney General for the State of Maine and attorney-at-law in Rochester, New York, Nancy Feehan has lived in Sarasota County since 1992. For 18 years, Nancys primary focus has been raising her two children, Cassie and Brian, and working tirelessly as a volunteer for the community that she loves.

Seven years ago, Nancy began working as a Guardian ad Litem, a court-appointed childrens advocate. Serving the community in this way, she combines her compassion as a mother with her experience as an attorney to represent abused and neglected children here in the 12th Judicial Circuit. Nancy is also Vice President of the financial arm of the Guardian ad Litem program, the Childrens Guardian Fund, Inc.

Nancys hard work was recognized in 2009 when the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County honored her as Woman of the Year. Nancys devotion to our community can also be seen in her involvement with a number of community organizations, such as the Sarasota County Civic League, the League of Women Voters, and SCOPE. Nancy has worked in various political organizations and served on the countys Commission on the Status of Women. She also served on the Board of Directors of Forum Truth and the Advisory Board of the Clear Language Institute. In 2009, Nancy was appointed Emeritus Attorney by the Supreme Court of Florida.
