Judy Sharple

Judy Sharple has been a Children’s Guardian Fund board member for seven years, as well as serving as its president for two years.

Judy volunteers as a Guardian ad Litem for the 12th Judicial Circuit and is also a GAL mentor. Additionally, she is one of the instructors for new Guardian ad Litem trainees. Prior to her service in Manatee County as a GAL, Judy was a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children) in Orleans Parish, New Orleans for nine years where she received the CASA Advocate of the Year award.

Judy was a former English teacher in Burlingame, California and Metairie, Louisiana where she was a recipient of the Who’s Who Among Teachers in America award. She was most recently a learning specialist at a school in New York City.
Judy is married and has a daughter, son and daughter-in-law.
