Ian Sharp

Ian Sharp earned an Engineering degree from Cambridge University, followed by 4 years in the Operations Research business in the steel industry in Sheffield. He moved to Toronto in 1960 and worked on software development for a computer manufacturer. In 1964 he started a software development company. This grew to over 600 people in 18 countries and was bought by Reuters the London news agency in 1987. He retired 2 years later and served on the board of a Washington based Internet Company. He became a full time Florida resident in 2001 and has been actively involved in the Meals-on-Wheels program. He joined the CGF board in 2012.
