
Candice Miller is a long-time Guardian ad Litem in Sarasota, where she has dedicated 20 years to advocating for the safety, well-being, and future of children. Her work reflects a lifelong commitment to protecting trauma victims, vulnerable individuals and helping them move forward with stability and support. Now retired from active legal practice, she continues to bring experience, judgment, and compassion to her service in the local nonprofit community.
She began her career as a paralegal at the Manhattan law firm of Gair, Gair and Conason, representing trauma victims while attending law school at night. After graduating, she became an associate and later a partner at the firm, eventually specializing in medical malpractice litigation. She was actively involved with the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, serving as Chair of the Product Liability Committee, Chair of the Tort Litigation Committee, and Vice Chair of the Judiciary Committee. She also served on the board of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and was a professor in the Continuing Legal Education program at Fordham University School of Law. A Sarasota resident for 22 years, she lives with her husband and enjoys golf, swimming, yoga, reading and spending time with her new puppy.
