Prior to joining Johns Hopkins All Children’s Ms. Kennedy served in an executive leadership role at several healthcare IT consulting firms.
Billie has also served as VP of Customer Service and Ambulatory /Physician Systems at Advent Health based in Altamonte Springs, Florida as well as Director for Information Technology at Duke Raleigh Hospital, a community hospital affiliate of Duke University Health System.
She has extensive experience in ambulatory healthcare information systems, consulting, project management and accounts receivable and revenue cycle management.
Ms. Kennedy received her bachelor of science in Industrial Technology from East Carolina University, her master’s degree in Business Administration from Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC., and a post graduate certificate in Healthcare Administration from East Carolina University.
She is a Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO), Certified Professional in Health Information Management Systems (CPHIMS), and an active member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
Billie is a supporter of the Marine Discovery Center in New Smyrna Beach Florida, serves as a mentor to young women in healthcare IT and serves as a Guardian Ad Litem in Manatee County Florida.
