Andrea McHugh is a Felony Division Chief at the State Attorney’s Office. She is Board Certified in Criminal Trial Law. Andrea has prosecuted Felonies in both Manatee and Sarasota Counties. For 6 years, Andrea was assigned to the Capital Sexual Battery Division, first in Manatee County then in Sarasota County, where she prosecuted the most serious cases against children, mainly sexual crimes and homicides.
Andrea is on the Local Professionalism Panel for the Sarasota Bar, The Chair of the State and Public Affairs Committee for the Junior League of Sarasota, the Membership Chair of the Judge John M. Scheb Inn of Court, and she teaches at the Criminal Justice Academy at the Suncoast Technical College.
