The Children’s Guardian Fund is pleased to offer Academic Awards to school-age children represented by the Guardian ad Litem Program. These awards are specifically for students who have shown extraordinary effort, achieved academic improvement, or achieved academic excellence this past semester. Understanding how difficult overcoming educational deficits can be, we hope this award will allow all the recipients to see that their efforts have been noticed and praised. Each child will receive a cash award and a Certificate of Achievement. All certificates and checks will be mailed to GAL volunteers so that volunteers can present the certificates and checks to the children they nominated. The award amount is based upon the child’s current grade level and is as follows: elementary (grades 1-5) - $50; middle school (grades 6-8) - $75; and high school (grades 9-12) - $100.
