I was an abandoned child some fifty years ago, and went on to live a productive, happy life, but it would not have happened without people who looked out for my best interest along the way. That’s one thing that hasn’t changed in fifty years: kids need a competent adult to be their champion. That’s why I became a Guardian ad Litem.
