The Children’s Guardian Fund Inc. (CGF) is a not-for-profit support organization which provides financial assistance and develops programs to address the unmet needs of abused and neglected children who are represented by Guardians ad Litem (GALs) in the 12th Judicial Circuit Court.

Vulnerable children who, through no fault of their own, have been abused, neglected or abandoned are thrust into the child welfare system without the resources to fulfill their many needs. CGF was created as a 501(c)(3) in 1995
to bridge the financial gap between what the state provides and the needs of these mistreated children in Sarasota, Manatee and DeSoto counties. CGF
also promotes community awareness and support for the GAL program.

Unfortunately, while state and county budgets for child welfare needs cannot keep up the present level of funding, the needs of children in dependency proceedings are not adjustable.

Help CGF achieve our mission by volunteering to become a Guardian ad Litem or with a personal donation for these children.

GALs are people
who decided it was
time to step forward
and help the children who have no one else
to count on.
